CTET Preparation Hub
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the teacher-eligibility framework linked to the Right to Education Act and NCTE guidelines. CTET preparation should combine subject knowledge with pedagogy because many questions test how a concept should be taught, assessed or adapted for different learners.
What to prepare
- Child Development & Pedagogy: development, learning, inclusive education, assessment, classroom diversity and child-centred teaching.
- Language I & II: comprehension, language development, pedagogy, classroom use and error analysis.
- Mathematics: core concepts, problem solving, misconceptions and mathematics pedagogy.
- Environmental Studies: everyday environment, science-social context, observation and EVS pedagogy.
- Science / Social Science: subject concepts and pedagogical application according to the paper chosen by the candidate.
Preparation method
Start from the current official information bulletin and syllabus. After each topic, solve previous-year questions to understand how CTET converts theory into classroom situations. Maintain a short error notebook containing concepts, confusing options and pedagogy terms that repeatedly cause mistakes. Revise this notebook before mock tests.
Official verification
For the current examination cycle, candidates should verify application dates, correction windows, eligibility, paper choice, syllabus and examination instructions directly on the official CTET website. The official portal also provides information bulletins, notices, previous question papers and final answer keys.
Useful practice on Sri Ram Exams
Use Daily MCQs for regular objective practice and PYQs for examination-pattern analysis. The most effective cycle is: syllabus → concept → PYQ → MCQ practice → error review → revision.
