State TET

State TET Preparation Hub

State Teacher Eligibility Tests (State TETs) are conducted by the appropriate State or Union Territory authorities under the broader teacher-eligibility framework. Although the exact paper pattern, qualifying rules and syllabus vary by state, the core preparation areas are broadly similar and can be approached through a common concept-first strategy.

Common preparation areas

  • Child Development & Pedagogy: learning, development, inclusive education, assessment and classroom processes.
  • Language: comprehension, grammar in context, language acquisition and pedagogy.
  • Mathematics & EVS: foundational concepts, problem solving, misconceptions and teaching methods.
  • Science / Social Science: subject knowledge plus classroom application and pedagogy.
  • State-specific component: local language, state history, geography, culture or other areas where included in the official syllabus.

How to prepare efficiently

First download the latest official notification and syllabus of your State TET. Mark every topic as strong, moderate or weak. Solve previous-year questions after completing each unit, then maintain an error log for repeated conceptual and option-selection mistakes. Do not rely on another state’s pattern for eligibility, marks, language rules or paper structure.

Verification rule

Exam dates, eligibility, certificates, qualifying criteria and application instructions must always be checked on the website of the competent state authority. Sri Ram Exams provides preparation support and does not replace official notifications.

Practice resources

Use Daily MCQs for objective practice, PYQs for pattern recognition and Current Affairs where general awareness is part of the examination. A reliable preparation cycle is official syllabus → concept → PYQ → timed practice → error review → revision.
